China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is planning to invest 21 billion yuan ($2.9 billion) to build natural gas storage facilities in southwest China’s Sichuan province and Chongqing city, writes Xu Yihe.
Construction will be spearheaded by CNPC Southwest Oil and Gas Company, which is in charge of oil and gas exploration development in the two locations.
CNPC Southwest general manager Ma Xinhua said the investment will go to building tank farms with total capacity of 21 billion cubic metres.
