Private equity-backed UK independent Chrysaor has acquired the remaining interests it did not already own in the Armada, Maria and Seymour fields in the UK central North Sea from Spirit Energy, giving it a 100% ownership over the Armada Area.
The deal is expected to close in the second half of the year, Chrysaor said on Thursday.
Spirit, formed out of the merger of gas giant Centrica with Bayerngas' Norwegian assets, will retain decommissioning liabilities related to its interests, subject to a cap.
