Colombia hydrocarbons regulator ANH has postponed the deadline for receiving bids for 15 onshore areas in the Sinu-San Jacinto basin until May 3 in response to requests from interested companies, writes Gareth Chetwynd.
The onshore round represents Colombia’s attempt to kick-start a licensing process that has run out of steam in recent years due to low oil prices and challenges with community relations and environmental permitting issues.
