Sources involved in the bidding process told Upstream that Novatek’s lead contractor, French engineering giant Technip, has already signed a letter of award with COOEC for a portion of the modules workscope.
The tender involve six packages. However, COOEC only bid for three.
The first package centres on equipment for the LNG plant’s processing trains, comprising 51 modules weighing a total of 261,000 tonnes.
