Cooper Energy is about to start a four-month programme with the semi-submersible drilling rig Ocean Monarch off south-east Australia, including the two development wells for the company's Sole gas project, writes Russell Searancke.
The Ocean Monarch is expected to take about 22 days to complete its first assignment — the Casino-5 workover well at the producing Casino gas field.
On completion of the workover, the semisub will be moved to the nearby Sole gas field to drill the two development wells for the project — Sole-3 and Sole-4.
