Wintershall Noordzee is awaiting the ratification of a cross-border treaty between the UK and the Netherlands as the joint venture looks to make progress on its Sillimanite gas project straddling the maritime border between the two countries, writes Rob Watts.
Martin Bachmann, executive director at German oil company Wintershall, a 50% partner in the joint venture with Russia's Gazprom, said the partners were awaiting conclusion of the treaty before a final investment decision can be taken.
