French energy company Engie and its Australian joint venture partner Santos are progressing toward a preferred development concept for the offshore gas discoveries that make up the Bonaparte resource off northern Australia.
Engie — formerly GDF Suez — and Santos in June 2014 cancelled a proposed floating liquefied natural gas scheme for the Petrel, Tern and Frigate fields due to it being too expensive.
