The company is keen to kick off proceedings with a basis of design study for Stupa, which is a greenfield project in a mature production area.
Sources said monopod and/or tripod platforms are to be used in the development connected by subsea flowlines, while an export pipeline will carry gas to an onshore location near Balikpapan.
Sources said engineering companies that might register an interest in Stupa include Clough-Petrosea, Fluor, Technip, Wood Group, WorleyParsons and others.
