The Daewoo Shipbuilding&Marine Engineering drydock at Okpo in South Korea is aiming to complete the vessel by late 2007 in readiness for first oil in 2008, said the US supermajor's Nigerian affiliate Star Deep-water Petroleum.
The FPSO will cost about $1.1 billion, while the total bill for the Agbami development will be more than $5 billion, said Fred Nelson, managing director of Chevron's Nigeria-Mid-Africa business unit.
