Inpex has confirmed a slight delay in the start-up of the giant Ichthys liquefied natural gas project in Australia, writes Russell Searancke.

The Japanese operator said the commissioning of the first LNG train, the floating production storage and offloading vessel and subsea production systems had been completed.

Between April and May this year, the project will complete commissioning of the central processing facility and then begin production of gas — the previous target was the end of March 2018.
