UK minnow Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) has completed its acquisition of the Thames Pipeline a little later than expected from Perenco, Tullow Oil and Spirit Energy, a move central to its ambitions of developing the Vulcan and Blythe gas hubs in the southern North Sea.
It means IOG is now operator of the line, which it owns 100%, and can press ahead with a pigging programme to ensure the export link is safe to use.
