The Cove Point liquefied natural gas facility in Maryland, US, began commercial activities this week, months after it was originally supposed to begin such operations.
The facility had been ramping up to full production since late March after finishing a planned maintenance outage, according to developer Dominion Energy.
ST Cove Point is a joint venture of Japan's Sumitomo and Tokyo Gas, and India's Gail.
