Locals have again protested in Myanmar over what is claimed to be the continuing non-payment of full compensation for lands acquired for construction of the parallel oil and gas pipelines to China, writes Amanda Battersby.
The latest demonstrators were mostly farmers who claimed their lands were either seized or damaged by the pipeline project, which is a joint undertaking between local and Chinese state-owned companies.
