Coelacanth will rank among the top historic fixed jackets in the Gulf of Mexico, which have stood the test of time in the prolific offshore producing region off the US.
The jacket for the Walter Oil & Gas-led project remains smaller than Bullwinkle, Shell’s longtime record holder as the deepest fixed platform on the US outer continental shelf, weighing in at a hefty 79,000 tonnes.
