Oklahoma regulators have imposed severe cuts on the amount of wastewater that can be injected into a disposal well in the US state's Garfield County following a fresh spate of earthquakes in the area.
The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has directed operator MM Energy to reduce wastewater injection volumes into the Arbuckle formation from the well in the Covington/Douglas area from 17,000 barrels per day to 5000 bpd.
