Oman LNG vice president of marketing and shipping Adnan Rajab said the producer started out this year with 14 months´worth of idle LNG carrier capacity, but is now closing 2006 with none and will be chartering in next year to fulfil its planned shipments.
The company currently has the 137,248-cbm Sohar LNG (built 2001, the ex-Lakshmi) on charter until 2025 along with Exmar´s 138,106-cbm Excel (built 2003) until 2009.
