Petronas has spent most of this decade working on technology solutions to develop its high-carbon dioxide gas fields off Malaysia, and is now pushing on with a pilot project, writes Russell Searancke.
The company said at the recent OTC Asia event that the K5 Strategic Technology Project will be the pilot scheme that tests and matures various “in-house technologies” for carbon capture and separation, transport, utilisation and storage.
