Australian partners Quadrant Energy and Carnarvon Petroleum's potential shallow-water development in the Greater Phoenix Area off Western Australia could see more prospects targeted as potential tie-backs, writes Amanda Battersby.

The pair has already identified the Apus and Mensa prospects that Carnarvon says are within “comfortable tie-back distance” to a development around the Roc area.

The two prospects are estimated to hold combined mean prospective resources of 927 billion cubic feet of gas and 239 million barrels of liquids.
