Thailand’s national upstream company PTTEP is shifting its focus back to the region and this refocusing means a greater involvement in Asean neighbour Malaysia’s oil and gas sector, writes Amanda Battersby.

“In Malaysia they still have a lot of opportunity and suddenly we are talking to each other and we identify that we have a lot of things. Usually the prospects are quite big in Malaysia,” says PTTEP president Phongsthorn Thavisin.
