Thailand’s PTTEP is returning to the Cash-Maple area off northern Australia to drill another exploration well as it seeks to build up its stock of potential liquefied natural gas volumes, writes Russell Searancke.
The company has hired the deep-water semi-submersible drilling rig GSF Development Driller I to drill the Orchid-1 exploration well in Block AC/ 54 in November.
Orchid-1 lies in 125 metres of water, 650 kilometres from Darwin in the Northern Territory.
