UK-listed Serica Energy has selected Shell’s Shearwater platform as the intended export route for the proposed development of its long-stranded Columbus gas field in the central North Sea, writes Rob Watts.
The subsea tie-back would link to a planned development of the Arran field, operated by Dana Petroleum, which is also expected to tie-back to Shearwater, 35 kilometres south-west of Columbus.
