Private equity-backed UK player Siccar Point Energy is gearing up to start work, possibly within the next week, on a closely-watched appraisal well on the Cambo discovery in the west of Shetland area.
The semi-submersible drilling rig West Hercules, owned and operated by North Atlantic Drilling UK, is expected to be leaving Norway possibly on Monday 23 April to arrive on location on or around the 25 April, according to information on offshore hazards distributed to UK fishing operators this week.
