US player SM Energy is offloading its remaining assets in North Dakota's Bakken region to focus on the Permian basin and Eagle Ford shale in Texas.
The company has entered into a pair of deals to sell the Bakken assets and some third-party operated assets in Texas to unnamed buyers for combined proceeds of $292.3 million.
The North Dakota assets lie in Divide County and host net proven reserves of almost 29 million barrels of oil equivalent, and produced about 6100 barrels of oil equivalent per day net in December.
