Sri Lanka is preparing shortly to retender deep-water Block M2 in the Mannar basin, hoping that more gas can be found to be developed with two existing discoveries in the area, writes Xu Yihe.
An official with state-run Petroleum Resources Development Secretariat (PRDS) told Upstream that the government is finalising a document and hopes to be ready to launch a fresh tender for the block towards the end of this month.
