South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries’ Ulsan yard has been hit with three day-long strikes by some of its unionised workers as they protest against working conditions and the contractor’s ongoing corporate restructuring.
The labour union instructed some 15,000 workers to walk out. However, only around 10% actually downed tools, according to a local report.
Hyundai officials claimed that the company’s output was not affected by the recent one-day strikes.
