The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in New Delhi had earlier set a deadline of 30 September to resolve the issue, but one ONGC director said the ball was now back in the ministry's court.
"The three consortium partners are still talking, but I do not think we would be able to resolve the issue before the set deadline," he said.
