The rapid expansion of the US liquefied natural gas sector has been highlighted by new data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) that show that exports quadrupled in 2017 from 2016 as more facilities came online, writes Caroline Evans.
Last year, the US exported 1.94 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas, up from 500 million cubic feet per day in 2016.
