Shell is trying to resolve a pipeline problem that forced it to shut down offshore production at the Pohokura gas field off New Zealand in mid-March, writes Russell Searancke.
Pohokura is New Zealand's largest gas field, producing up to 40% of the country's gas.
Austria's OMV, an asset partner, said offshore production from the field stopped in mid-March "following a technical issue".
