The French operator has recently emphasised that it has done a substantial amount of “front-end loading work” on Bonaparte, and that its focus has been on “doing the right project” rather than being schedule-driven.
Part of that front-end loading work resulted in a final FLNG design with capacity for 2.4 million tonnes per annum of LNG production.
The competition for the FEED is between KBR with Hyundai Heavy Industries and on the other side is Technip with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.
Both
