Deep Gulf Energy is understood to have made a pair of recent hydrocarbon discoveries near the BP-operated Na Kika production platform in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico.
The proximity of both discoveries to Na Kika suggests each could potentially be tied back by the US independent to the semi-submersible production hub, located in Mississippi Canyon.
Most recently, Deep Gulf completed drilling of the Barataria exploration well on Mississippi Canyon Block 521.
