A small unmanned platform with topsides weighing 1500 tonnes is expected to be installed in shallow water beyond the field location and controlled from shore, said Total’s joint venture and planning development director Eric Meyer, talking about a development that could see first production in 2021.
The scheme proposed for the initial production phase would see four subsea production wells drilled and tied back to the platform by a pipeline running about 20 kilometres.
