Three companies are fighting for a lucrative contract to supply a newbuild semi-submersible accommodation and maintenance vessel for work off Australia, in a bid to aid Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell in its massive Prelude floating liquefied natural gas project.
Shell put out a requirement last year for a flotel to assist in the hook-up and commissioning of the Prelude FLNG vessel.
