The new terminal, which is expected to start up in 2014, will have an initial capacity of about 10 billion cubic metres per annum.
The project’s estimated investment cost is €800 million ($1131 million).
Adria LNG comprises Germany’s E.ON on a 31.15% interest and RWE on 16.69%, Austria’s OMV on 25.58% interest, French giant Total also on 25.58%, while Slovenia’s Geoplin holds the remaining 1%.
