The first engineering, procurement and construction tender covers a 16-slot, six-legged wellhead platform. GSPC has shortlisted eight EPC contractors for the job and contenders have to submit bids before 30 December.
The list of pre-qualified contractors includes US-based engineering giant J Ray McDermott, Indian fabricator Larsen & Toubro, Japan’s Nippon Steel, South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries, Naftogaz of Ukraine, Italy’s Saipem, a consortium of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company & Essar Offshore, and a consortium of Indian company Afcons and an Indonesian engineering company.
