Gregory Hill, the company’s executive vice president for worldwide exploration and production, said that four of the five exploration wells drilled this year in WA-390-P were discoveries. The fifth well was a dry hole.
Last year, Hess drilled four exploration probes in the same permit and three were commercial finds.
Hill said: “We’ve got nine (wells) in the ground, and two have been declared dry holes or non-commercial.”
