Industry officials said ZPMC has rejected requests by ADHK, understood to be an investment company registered by Iran Offshore Engineering & Construction (IOEC) in Spain, to change the design of the newbuilds.
The officials said ZPMC is insisting on using its in-house design for the rigs and is refusing IOEC’s request for modifications.
The current basic and detailed design is compiled by ZPMC’s in-house offshore research institute in collaboration with offshore institutions in Shanghai.
