However, fellow movie star Stephen Baldwin and a friend, Spyridon Contogouris, have filed a lawsuit in Louisiana District Court claiming they were tricked into selling shares of the company that marketed CINC’s technology.
According to the complaint, Contogouris was approached in the early 2000s by Costner’s representatives to market the technology, for which Contogouris would receive a sales commission.
Costner and Contogouris had a meal together on 17 April last year, by which time, says the complaint, Costner’s attempts to market the technology had proven unsuccessful, and he had sold all his rights and ownership in CINC.
