US onshore driller Patterson-UTI was stuck in the red in the third quarter despite a significant year-on-year rise in revenues.
The Houston-based rig owner ran up a net loss of $33.77 million in the three months to the end of September, a sizeable improvement on the loss of $84.14 million a year earlier.
Revenues ballooned from $206.13 million to $684.99
