US independent Earthstone Energy has agreed to sell a package of non-operated Bakken shale assets for about $27 million to an unnamed buyer.

The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.

After the sale, Earthstone plans to focus its business on its 27,000-net-acre position in the Midland sub-basin of the Permian basin in Texas and New Mexico where it produces about 7000 barrels of oil equivalent per day
