Supermajor BP is close to choosing its favoured bidders to provide a floating production, storage and offloading vessel and subsea hardware for phase one of the $5.8 billion Tortue floating liquefied natural gas project off Mauritania and Senegal.
Industry sources said decisions could be made as soon as today (15 December) and while there may be a slight delay, BP is said to want to finalise its choices by the end of this year.
