French major Total and Italy’s state-owned Eni have contracted Shearwater GeoServices for a large deep-water 3D marine seismic shoot on acreage in Myanmar that was acquired in the 2013 offshore licensing round, writes Amanda Battersby.
Shearwater will deploy the survey vessel Polar Empress for the acquisition. The 10,000-square kilometre seismic survey, which is expected to take about six months, is scheduled to start this month.
