Japanese operator Inpex and its partner Shell are building momentum on the multi-billion-dollar Abadi liquefied natural gas development in Indonesia, with engineering giants KBR and TechnipFMC well placed for two crucial pre-front-end engineering and design contracts.
Sources said a KBR-led team has submitted what has been deemed the best proposal for the Abadi onshore LNG pre-FEED contract, while the TechnipFMC group is the leading contender for the Abadi floating production, storage and offloading vessel pre-FEED contract.
