Nigerian militants agitating for indigenous resource control in the Niger Delta have threatened to resume armed hostilities if grievances are not addressed and if the presidency fails to restore the spirit of the amnesty programme that was credited with restoring peace to the oil creeks, writes Barry Morgan.
The amnesty programme has been under siege for the past three years, according to the spokesperson for the self-styled Joint Revolutionary Council, Cynthia Whyte.
