Up to three heavyweight consortia of international offshore contractors are set to battle it out for a $3 billion-plus contract for an offshore gas-oil separation platform complex for Saudi Aramco's Marjan incremental development project.
Project observers said the race for the GOSP-4 offshore facility looks to have narrowed to just the three consortia.
Originally there were suggestions that technical and commercial offers might be submitted in December but industry sources this week suggested that they now expect submissions around the middle of February.
