After two quarters of sluggish demand, US pressure pumpers are expected to redeploy more than 300,000 high horsepower to the shale patch in the coming months, according to a new forecast by Westwood Global Energy Group.
Westwood sees pressure pumping activity trending higher this year, with demand expected to increase 9% in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in 2018, when completions providers removed 4% of frack horsepower from the seven major US shale basins.
