Statoil has improvements to make after Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) found a number of regulatory breaches on the Troll C and Kristin platforms and warned that cost-saving efforts may affect safety, writes Beate Schjolberg.

The PSA carried out an audit of the semi-submersible production and accommodation platform Troll C in March, focusing particularly on risk assessment and adoption of safety measures within emergency preparedness, logistics and employee participation.
