The deal sets up Aker to carry out maintenance, modifications and operations (MMO) contracts on Talisman Sinopec’s brownfield projects on the UK continental shelf.
Aker said it was anticipated to be a multi-million pound agreement, although the contract did not contain a firm spending commitment.
Aker’s UK managing director of its MMO business, Mike Forbes, said in a statement on Monday that the agreement allows Aker to work closely with the customer “to ensure that we plan for the successful delivery of projects in the longer term”.
