The well in WA-435-P never had a set spud date but was originally planned for some time in the first quarter, a spokesman for Carnarvon told Upstream.
The date of the spud was subject to the availability of the drill rig.
Apache said the reason for the change in spud date was due to Apache’s operational timetable, with the company drilling a number of other wells on the north-west shelf in Western Australia.
