Buccaneer Energy, which manages Kenai Offshore on behalf of joint venture partners Ezion Holdings and Alaska Industrial Development & Export Authority, claims the contract was terminated on 14 December due to Archer not paying local subcontractors for work on the rig and for “non-performance.”
However, Archer claims it in fact ended the contract on 13 December after several attempts were made to collect payment on a number of overdue invoices.
