Crude-oil production fell 2.6% to 2.8 million cubic metres (17.6 million barrels) during the month overall compared with the year-ago period, according to data cited in a report by the Buenos Aires-based General Mosconi think tank.
That averages out to about 567,000 barrels per day.
YPF's crude production however increased 1.76% to 1 million cubic metres compared with the year-ago month.
By contrast production from private companies showed declines, with number-two producer Pan American Energy dropping by more than 10% to about 538,000 cubic metres and number four producer Petrobras falling 4.7%
